In my superhero LitRPG series Super Babes, there are a lot of sexy female supervillains for our heroes to fight and romance, and I thought I'd run down some of the ones who inspired them. They're not princesses. They're not heroes. They're the women who break the law, try to destroy the world, and look flawless doing it. Whether they fight with pheromones, psychic fire, or pure attitude, one thing’s certain...danger has never looked this good.
Here are the 10 deadliest and most desirable female supervillains ever to grace a comic panel.
10. Cheshire (DC)
As a persistent enemy of the Teen Titans, Cheshire is an assassin and mercenary who uses a wide variety of poisons, but her smile might be her greatest weapon. Exotic, graceful, and merciless, Cheshire moves like smoke and strikes like a cobra.
9. Dark Phoenix (Marvel)
Jean Grey was one of Charles Xavier's brightest students and one of the founding members of the X-Men until she gained the power of the Phoenix. She burned brighter than any star, and then she burned an entire civilization. Jean Grey’s fall into cosmic madness made power seductive and unstoppable, fire made flesh, and the embodiment of beautiful destruction.
8. Talia al Ghul (DC)
As the daughter of Ras al Ghul, one of Batman's worst enemies, you would think she would be the last person the Dark Knight would fall for. Yet even though she's an assassin with a royal pedigree and a strategic genius, Batman couldn't resist her. Neither can we.
7. Lady Death (Chaos! Comics)
Lady Death isn't the only personification of death in comics but she's definitely one of the most beautiful. She started the Bad Girl revolution of the 1990's with silver hair, crimson lips, and eyes that glow with the fires of damnation. Lady Death is every goth and heavy metal lover's fantasy.
6. Black Cat (Marvel)
Spider-Man has a lot of enemies but very few have gotten as close to him as Black Cat. As one of New York's greatest cat burglars, Felicia Hardy moves with the grace of her name and slices with razor sharp claws. Every night, she dances on rooftops, wrapped in black leather and giving readers a faster heartbeat.
5. Enchantress (Marvel)
As one of the immortal gods of Asgard, Enchantress has cast her spell on the Nine Realms with a wave of her hand. Her powers of mind control and illusion have even charmed Thor, and she serves as Asgard’s eternal seductress.
4. Hela (Marvel)
As a god of Asgard and a god of Death, she combines two other entries on this list, but she stands on her own in terms of pure sex appeal. She’s dark and beautiful with the power to raise the dead, but she raises blood pressure whenever she appears on the pages or the silver screen.
3. Mystique (Marvel)
Even if she wasn't scantily clad with blue curves, Mystique would still be a fantasy. After all, her mutant power to shapeshift means she can be anyone you desire, but her true form might be the most beautiful. Being played by a naked supermodel in the movies only elevated her ranking on this list.
2. Poison Ivy (DC)
Red hair, green skin, and a kiss that can kill. Ivy is nature’s perfect revenge. Her kiss is literal poison, and her pheremones can cloud men's minds, but we think she's hot enough to command us with her body alone. Her goal is to make the world safe for plant life, and we only get in the way.
1. Harley Quinn (DC)
When the Joker turned his psychiatrist into his sidekick, he probably had no idea what he unleashed with Harley Quinn. She’s equal parts sweetheart and psycho, the kind of woman who'll kiss you one second and hit you with a mallet the next. Unpredictable, hilarious, and heartbreakingly human beneath the madness, she’s the kind of girl who'll break your heart and your bones, and still leave you smiling.
If you love sexy supervillains like I do, you'll love my LitRPG series, Super Babes. Check out the first novel today!
