My Change of Plans

So it's been a while since I posted here. I feel the need to explain.

I've been writing almost nonstop since 2018, and I've had a full-time job the entire time. I hoped that my sales would eventually let me quit my job and write full-time. That hasn't happened and probably never will. I'm okay with that.

But I can't do it anymore.

It's not a matter of not wanting to write anymore - I love to write.

It's not a matter of not knowing what to write. I have Survive and Colonize 6 and Super Babes 8 plotted and ready to go, but I can't write them right now.

There's an expectation in the LitRPG/men's erotica genre of releasing novels every three months or even every month. The truth is, most of those guys write full-time or have ghostwriters. I can't and don't. It's been hard writing on the mornings before work and late into the night after work, and when I finally finish and polish a book, I have to jump right into doing the next one. I can't do it anymore.

Worse than the pace, I've become too focused on word counts and schedules. When I sit down to write, all I can think about is putting a certain number of words on the page, and I can't focus on what those words are. It's destroying my love of writing.

I still want to write these books, and I will. I just don't know how or when, and I know I can't do it at the pace people want. If it's a chapter a day or a chapter a month, that's what it will be.

I can't rightfully continue to charge for a Patreon without providing regular content so I'm closing it down. I'll continue to issue a newsletter but I'll send them when I have something to announce, not every month.

For those who enjoyed my work and might be disappointed, I'm sorry. I really do appreciate all your support.

  1. So I know that you weren’t planning on writing very fast. I get that part and I completely understand it doing in between your work schedule, but what I do want to know as well as my fiancĂ© who is your current active reader of your book series, super babes is audible only has the first super babes And he wants to know if anymore are going to be made into audio books because that is the way he prefers to read because he’s dyslexic We tried to contact Audible themselves to ask if they knew, but they said that it was up to publishers and the authors and since yours was independently published and read by an AI. I just figured I would contact you and see if you knew when that possibility would happen no rush not trying to rush just more curiosity than anything. Just trying to get information

  2. Hi! Honestly, I didn't know there was much demand for the audiobooks. I don't sell too many and I haven't gotten much feedback so I kind of put off publishing more of them. Since you asked, I'll work on releasing the rest of Super Babes on audio.
